The brand licensing of this collection gives the licensor access to Marilyn's logos and trademarks, as well as the ability to use images of one of the most instantly recognizable stars of the 20th century on products of all types.

Marilyn's is one of the most instantly recognizable star images from the Golden Age of Hollywood. She was born as Norma Jean Baker in Los Angeles County Hospital on 1st June 1926. During her early career as a model she bleached her brown hair to a golden blonde, and appeared on dozens of magazine covers. After a screen test with 20th century Fox she changed her name to Marilyn's, and started her film career with an uncredited role in 1947.
Her mainstream acting career included roles in Niagara, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, How To Marry A Millionaire, and The Seven Year Itch. One of her most popular films was the 1959 hit, Some Like It Hot, where she played girl musician Sugar Kane Kowalczyk.
In this delightful comedy, which is set during the Prohibition era, Marilyn demonstrated her many comedic talents, as well as her abilities as a singer. The film co-starred Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon, who play as two musicians who become unwilling witnesses to the St Valentine's Day Massacre. Forced to go on the run from the gangsters, they disguise themselves as women, and join Marilyn's all-female jazz band.

As a painter, Maurer creates large mixed media pieces that are very much a product of his varied training and experience. His style combines bold, dynamic colors and strokes with painstaking layouts and typographical elements. The result is the unique blend of a painter’s passion tempered with the calculating compositional eye of a graphic designer. He explores his themes and subject matter primarily through symbols and personalities evoking pride, nostalgia, and hope

Marilyn's brand licensing will provide the licensor with trademarked logos and copyrighted images of one of the most iconic stars of the 20th century. Some artists, such as Picasso and Warhol, and Hollywood stars such as Elvis, James Dean and Marilyn, can be used on merchandise of many kinds. Celebrity icons such as Marilyn are already inside the consciousness of modern consumers, and can bring instant brand recognition to many products.
